When DocuGen Sign sends a document for signature, the email’s “From” address appears like “Jim Smith via no-reply@docugen.io”, where Jim Smith is the name of the monday.com user who sent the document for signature.
Some use cases may require that we customize the “From” address to be the name of another monday.com user, for example “Jimmy Hoffa via no-reply@docugen.io”, regardless of which monday.com user actually sent the document for signature.
Also, the “Reply to” address should be the email of the “From” user.
Current behavior:
User Jim Smith sends a document for signature
From = Jim Smith via no-reply@docugen.io
Reply to = jim.smith@mycompany.com (Jim Smith’s email address)
Desired behavior (as an option):
User Jim Smith sends a document for signature, but wants the email to appear to come from his colleague Jimmy Hoffa
From = Jimmy Hoffa via no-reply@docugen.io
Reply to = jimmy.hoffa@mycompany.com (Jimmy Hoffa’s email address)
Please NOTE >> This is a DocuSign feature, not a DocuGen feature request. <<
I am the owner of a monday board. I don’t work with the board myself. I have a team of Assignees that do that. They send out contracts for signature and request documentation.
The current process of sending documents for signature (DocuSign) uses the board owner email address. There is currently no way to change this, or I just haven’t found it yet.
I need to have the ability to have the email sent from the Assignees email address, whichever Assignee was assigned the task or an alternative custom email address, just not the board owner’s (myself) email address.
The reason for this is that additional documentation is requested from the person being emailed for signature by way of the Signer Notification Customizable Message and any replies are to be directed to the Assignee. At the moment, any email replies are being sent to my email address and not the Assignees and they are not receiving the additional documents being requested.
The feature could be added in a section called Email Originator and a choice to use a custom name and email address or an Assignee name and email could be offered.
This would add more flexibility to the DocuSign process and set it even further apart from other document signing integration packages.
Thanks for a great package.
This would be a fantastic feature and I am sure many other docugen subscribers would love to see it happen soon.
Bump.
