Spanish Invoicing Regulations and Verifactu Compliance

Spanish invoicing regulations established by the Royal Decree 1007/2023 and its development related to the VERI*FACTU system, which will become mandatory in Spain starting January 1, 2026.

We wanted to ensure that DocuGen is compliant with the Spanish invoicing regulations:

  1. Include automatic transmission of invoices to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) or to support the non-VERIFACTU mode while maintaining traceability and integrity.
  2. Whether invoices generated with DocuGen will be able to include the mandatory QR code and the indication that they were issued by a system compliant with Spanish SIF (Sistemas Informáticos de Facturación) regulations.
  3. DocuGen will be able to generate secure, unalterable invoicing records in the required format (with hash chains and timestamps).
